Downtown Outreach

Serving people in need in downtown Omaha

Every week a team led by Pastor Mike Schab prepares a hot home cooked meal and delivers it to homeless people in need in downtown Omaha [web:382].

This ministry is one way Liberty Church lives out its calling to love people in practical ways. It is a simple act of compassion, but it carries real dignity, encouragement, and hope for the people we serve.

We believe outreach should be more than a program. It should be a visible expression of Jesus’ love, bringing care, consistency, and kindness to our city.

The Big Give

Blessing our community throughout the year

The Big Give is something we do throughout the year to bless those in need. It includes school outreach, coat drives, backpack giveaways, and other opportunities to serve families and individuals with practical support.

We want The Big Give to be a clear expression of generosity, care, and the love of Jesus reaching people right where they are.

Special Outreach

Children’s Hospital and First Responders

Two important parts of our outreach focus on bringing encouragement, prayer, and practical support to people who serve and those who are walking through difficult seasons.

Children’s Hospital

We want to bless children and families at Children’s Hospital with kindness, hope, and encouragement. This part of our outreach is about showing the love of Jesus to kids and parents when they need strength and comfort.

Whether through gifts, visits, prayer, or other acts of care, our goal is to remind families that they are not alone.

First Responders

We also want to encourage first responders who serve our city with courage and sacrifice. Police officers, firefighters, EMTs, and other emergency personnel carry heavy responsibilities every day.

Our outreach to first responders is a way to say thank you, offer support, and recognize the important work they do for the safety and well-being of our community.
